With over 25 years experience professionally grooming horses & dogs, alongside many years showing my own dogs all over The UK & Europe as well as being a Kennel Club registered Judge within the Gundog Group, I have gathered a wealth of animal handling expertise. Having trained at Writtle College in 1998 & following a background of working in the emergency veterinary industry for 6 years, I decided to work fulltime as a dog groomer in 2017. I worked in a busy multi dog salon for 3 years before setting up my own 1 to 1 salon at our home in 2020. I am fully insured & trained in canine first aid.

Our grooming services are designed to keep your dog looking and feeling their best. There are no hidden extra costs at the Silver Dog, below is our price list and a simple overview of what we offer and what to expect.
- Coat preparation – Brushing through to remove any knots (very matted coats will be assessed & any remedial action required will be discussed with the owner before proceeding).

Teeth Cleaning – Emmi-pet ultrasonic teeth cleaning appointments can be offered as a stand alone 30 minute session, or added on to your dogs regular grooming appointment. The 1st appointment is £30, which includes the purchase of your dogs individual & reusable toothbrush head as well as the first clean. All subsequent cleans are then £15.
In addition I also offer a “bath/face & feet trim” option, which is a reduced price & ideal for low maintenance coats, as well as those dogs requiring an “in between groom” to help manage a difficult coat between regular full groom appointments.
A “family discount” is given for 2 or more dogs attending from the same home, please get in touch to obtain your discounted price.
Cancellation Policy: At the business owners discretion – Cancellation less than 24 hours before the booked appointment time will incur a 50% charge & a missed appointment will incur a 100% charge.

Puppy intro groom £35 – from 12 weeks to 6 months of age: This groom is catered towards young puppies & is ideal for getting them used to the salon environment, the sights and sounds of a groom.
